This is a small handmade ceramic tea or espresso cup, underglazed on one side and then glazed in clear glossy glaze.

I only drink my coffee from handmade cups without handles like this for some time now and I love it! They feel so organic and smooth in the hand. I also like the fact that they keep relatively small amounts of liquid - I take hot coffee from the machine more often and don't have to sip from cold coffee, which is the worst ;).

I threw this one on the wheel with beige clay, painted it with underglazes, fired it in a kiln, glazed it with glossy clear glaze (foodsafe and cadmium and lead free) and fired it again at stoneware temperature.

The piece is elegantly wonky which makes it even more characteristic and beautiful.

I fire my kiln with solar power from my own roof.

I wrap everything in second-hand, plant starch or cardboard material.
